Dr. Hayden was born in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 5 his family moved to West Springfield, MA. He graduated high school at The Williston Academy in Easthampton. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and his Veterinary Degree from Cornell University in NY in 1977.

After graduating Veterinary school he worked in Colchester, Connecticut treating small and large animals. After leaving that practice he worked at the Agawam Animal Hospital in Agawam, MA. In 1984 he decided to open his own practice in Easthampton, MA.

The Easthampton Animal Hospital opened it's doors on December 26, 1984. Dr. Hayden is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, and the Western Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association. He is also on the Board of Investments and Trustee at the Easthampton Savings Bank. He and his wife Sandy have been married since 1989 and have a teenage son. He also lives with 1 golden retriever named Sherman, and 2 cats, Kelly and Whitey.

It was Donna’s love of animals that brought her to work at the Easthampton Animal Hospital in August of 1987. Donna is the one you will see working alongside Dr. Hayden. She assists him in the exam room, and surgical room. She is in charge of the pharmacy and laboratory. Donna is a native of Easthampton. She is married, has 2 daughters, and two grandsons. She and her family have 2 cats, Baby and Casper.

Carol has been working at the Easthampton Animal Hospital since March of 1999. She is in charge of the front office. She is the first person you will see when entering the waiting room. Her cheerful smile and friendly “may I help you” makes people feel at ease. She is also a native of Easthampton. She has a daughter, son, a granddaughter, and grandson. She lives with a cat named Boo.

First, do not confuse Carol with Christine (they are identical twins). Christine came to work at the Easthampton Animal Hospital part-time in December 2004. She works with Carol at the front desk. She has many duties which include answering the phone, booking appointments, etc. She lives in Easthampton with her husband. She also has 2 sons. Her animals include a black lab named Calvin, and two cats Mischief, and Molly.

Sandy has been working at the Easthampton Animal Hospital since 1989 and is married to Dr. Hayden. She does all the bookkeeping and assists both Carol and Christine at the front desk.
